Family continuity as a guarantee of stability
Christophe, current CEO of Plastil, is the 4th generation in the industrial adventure of the group. He is proud to see this family continuity as a guarantee of stability for the company. A whole industrial culture has been passed down from generation to generation, including its assets but also the memory of the events that built the company as it is today.
History of the group Plastil Solutions Plastiques
- 1937: Louis, grand father of the current CEO, founded an activity of rubber & fiber gasket cutting under the company Le Joint Barthélémy.
- 1972: his General Director and son-in-law Joseph, founded a new plastic extrusion activity under the company Plastil, which, over the years, strongly developped in PVC extrusion.
- 1982: development in plastic injection, under the name of Newplast.
- 1991: establishment in the UK with Plastil UK specialising in PVC extrusion, when Current CEO Christophe Legeais joined the group.
- acquisition of small and medium-sized family-owned companies, gradually integrated to Plastil group
- 2018: acquisition of a new activity of CNC machining with Plastil Usinage
- since 2016 Plastil know-how is presented under the single brand of Plastil Solutions Plastiques.
- 2026 : relocation of all industrial facilities in France
